Hi

Every afternoon my wireless network becomes extremely slow ( 1mbps ).... My central AP is located on my roof and is in a weatherproof box which is obviously airtight and therefore doesnt let any heat evaporate....

The max operating temp for a linksys wrt54gl is 40 degrees celcius.....

Could my AP be overheating? If so how do I cool it down?

Thanks

You can switch it off to cool down, I have not had a problem with routers overheating. I had one on my roof for months, in the direct sun-light all day and it never gave me any problems.
