router problem

hi, i have a Billion 7401 router and while downloading something it makes a clicking sound and then the download stops, this happens frequently. Is this a sign that the router is broken?

Check that the power cable is firmly inserted into the modem.

Also check the the power cable plug is firmly plugged in to the power socket. If you are using muliplugs and or plug adaptors make sure that they are making good contact.

i checked and all is ok with cables. so the router is probably faulty?

any pc component that goes click click click is not a good sign. Get a real sinking feeling when it happens to your TB hardrive thats got all your crap on...

Hi, maldek check when it start making the clicking sound, does the router stop synchronizing with the ADSL? When the ADSL is not stable it can cause the connection to drop. Also check the firmware version on router if it’s the latest firmware version or not, you can download the latest firmware from www.billionsa.com:D
