Router question.

Why does my router have to completely reboot and re-sync the line every time I change ISP settings?
It makes no sense to me. If I had it in bridge mode it wouldnt reset everything everytime would it?

That is why I'm putting my Telkom 5102 ADSL modem in bridge mode and dialing the PPPoE connections with my Intel Atom PC that is running MikroTik RouterOS v5

I haven't seen any ADSL modems so far that doesn't require a reboot to change the ISP username and password. I think it has to do with how they store the settings in flash.
