Wireless distances look to be the same. More expensive one has Gigabit lan ports.

Both will work with VDSL. It really depends on whether you want/need the features of the more expensive one, which is:
- 1000Mbps vs 100Mbps network ports
- 0 vs 2 VoIP ports (RJ11)
- eWAN port (possibly needed if you want to go FTTH from Telkom later on)

Franna and Rickster has already pointed out that the Belkin N600 DB Wireless Dual-Band N+ Router is only a router.

What modem are you using? The guys will then be able to tell you if it will work or not.
