Router Settings

I am having difficulties getting my internet connection to work.
So far I have set my router to PPPoE, i have put in the correct login/password, Multiplexing set to LLC-Based, VPI - 8 and VCI - 35. I haven't touched the firewall yet. I'm using a DG834N router. Any help will be much appreciated

Is your DSL mode set to Auto?

My Netgear DG834G v3 router has exactly the same settings as yours.
