Hi

I'm on the 8ta 10 gig contract, using a Huawei E367 and a Dovado UMR router and for some reason my router keeps on losing the 3G connection. The connection will work fine for about 2-5 minutes and then all of a sudden nothing. When this happens I have to pull the power on the router and reinsert in order to reconnect.

I'm thinking that it has to be a router issue as the connection stays solid when I connect the modem straight to my PC.

If anybody has any suggestions please, this is driving me up the wall.

Check whether the Huaei E367 is on your router's compatibility list.
You might need to upgrade the firmware on your router in order to make it compatible with your modem.

The modem disconnecting frequently could also be a sign that the modem is getting insufficient power.
A USB power injector, like the MikroTik 5VUSD adapter, might help.

Alternatively, improve your signal using an external antenna, thus reducing the modem's power requirements.

Hi,

I have the same problem. Worked for more than 12 months and all of the sudden, I am having the same problem. Did you solve it.

Thanks.

Same here. I have the Dovado 4GR and the E367 but I think it is the E367 as it also drops the connection when in my PC.
Anybody found a solution yet?

Hi,

I think that that there is a solution, well it worked for me. Got this from the Dovado Support:

"The IP addresses you have entered in Connection Tracker does not respond to ping, at least from my end? Please enter two other public IP:s (such as 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) and 74.125.232.116 (Google frontpage) or try disabling CT altogether for now."

I entered the above two public IPs in the Connection Tracker and have not had any issues for the past 2 hours. Hope it stays that way.

Good luck.
