Ok, wasn't sure whether I should post in iBurst or hardware...

I bought an Intellinet router for my iBurst.

I cannot browse ANYTHING. I can ping, but I cannot browse. I am assuming this is my MTU settings. Here is the catch, the router can only accept a setting of 1400 - 1492, nothing higher nothing lower.

Any ideas?

Nothing that I can see directly, I've even tried adding my machine to the "DMZ" option of the router, still nothing. Can tracert and ping though, and Skype seems to come on. Web browsing? Forget it...

Well, after back and forth with EXCELLENT support from Intellinet themselves (and very fast responses), they agreed to either put together a firmware for me as that specific router is bound to RFC standards for PPPoE, hence the minimum of 1400. This would take a while, so in the interim, they stated that I could return the router to the distributor and have it changed for the model up (http://www.intellinet-network.com/en-US/products/8058-wireless-150n-4-port-router) which they guarantee compatibility and a flexible MTU. Went through this morning to the distributor and had the router exchanged for the model higher (had to pay in R100 or so, but hey, still cheap for the price) and will be testing this evening.

Yay Intellinet support!!!

You should have gone for the Linksys WRT54GL, definitely the best router to use with the iBurst desktop UTD.

I agree, I use it with Tomato and the QOS functionality has to be the best I've ever seen on any consumer router.
