I have purchased a RouterBoard RB912G, as well as antenna, and all accompanying cables. On the enclosure, it says RB911G, but on the RouterBoard circuit board itself it says RB912G. I am assuming this is because the enclosure for both the 911 and 912 are the same one.

Now, WinBox detects the device as RB911G as well. Would this be because of similarities between the two models?

Hi Slootvreter,

Winbox scans on mac layer so it will see all Mikrotik devices on your network.

Do you have the precise model numbers?

The enclosure is probably the same for both 911 and 912.

Winbox on the other hand should say 912

I will get this information tonight, as well as a photo of the board itself.

Thanks!

911G-5HPnD has 64MB of ram
Can't find any reference to a 912G on their site... weird
Maybe contact their tech support and ask? They're pretty responsive

RB912UAG

hah.

But, strangely, also 64MB according to their site.
