I'm hoping someone here can help with this problem. When I'm connected to a local and international account with Routesentry, everything works alright except for Xfire. I can connect to my Xfire account and chat with someone, but for some reason I cannot make a voice call. When trying to call it says calling, but the other person (using a normal SAIX international account) does not see that I am calling. After a while it says that the person did not pick up.

I know it's routesentry because when I use a plain SAIX account the other person receives my call and everything works fine.

What could the problem be?

I am useing a setup very much like yours and my xfire works fine i can call chat and login fine.
I am useing vista with routsentry and SAIX for international and SAIX and IS for local and it just works without any changes

My xfire is also working fine, using routesentry, but have not tried making a call...

The text chat works fine and the game server listes are fine, however voice calls simply will not go through.

I was hoping someone else had had this problem and discovered a solution.

XFire must be routing the VOIP call data directly through to the other person to his local ip address, and therefore on your local connection.

Unfortunately, the XFire server will have told his xfire client to expect a call from your international IP Address, so his client ignores the call coming in from your local ip address.

Solution: Erm. Stuck.

I'm downloading the new version, please hold.

I see they are now differentiating between in-game voip and 1 to 1 voip.
I guess your only option, now that they have "improved" xfire is to use the broadcast feature - voice only.
Have you tried it?

Otherwise, you'll have to ask your friend his ip address, and change your routing so that data to his ip address goes on your international connection. Quite sucky.

And xfire thought they were being helpful.

Thanks stoke I will keep monitoring the forum you linked to, however there hasn't been any reply as of yet. Here's hoping...
