Hi

I have a Netgear DG834GT router, running it in bridge mode, connecting via Wifi from my home pc. Have installed Raspppoe, set up 2 connections, and installed Routesentry. I have set the max conn to 2 in PPPOE properties, and when I try dial in with both connections, 1 connects, the 2nd says the modem is already in use. When I try to connect with Routesentry, it connects 1, then nothing happens. When I try to force the 2nd connection, it says Cannot connect the phonebook entry, Error 756, this connection is already being dialled. What is the problem?

When I set up the 2 connections, I selected broadband that requires password, and all is on default.

Assistance is appreciated.

When you look at the PPP Protocol's Properties page, go and look under the Advanced tab, and make sure that you set your WAN endpoints to 2, and then restart your computer...it is supposed to work after you have restarted your pc..

Everytime I set the WAN endpoints to 2, it defaults back to 1 when I go back to the PPPOE properties or when I restart the PC. What is causing that? The network card is a Netgear DG311T Wifi card.

i have the exact same setup as you Poizonous. same router and pci card. routesentry works perfectly :)....dont know what you doing wrong though....

What do u mean RASPPPOE connections? I made new connections in networking, PPPOE that requires password. Is that wrong?

Update:

Reinstalled Raspppoe protocol, set up Ip and gateway manually, put router to modem mode.
Disabled all other protocols
Restart Windoze
Try start RASPPPOE and it says no active network adapter found. Tells me to restart/reinstall.
Adapter is running fine.
Reinstall, uninstall, restart, nothing helps, can not start RASPPPOE.

Now what?

have you enabled the raspppoe service? IE right click on the connection and make sure that only raspppoe's service is ticked. If it is, then restart. If its not ticked, it will not show when you run raspppoe from the run command

raspppoe from the run command makes your connections, you do not make them yourself

Only RASPPPOE is enabled, all other protocols off. the manual says to run RASPPPOE to configure connections, but it wont run, saying need to reinstall/restart all the time.

that is a very strange error. This may be drastic, but try format and reinstall everything (Service pack 2 and updates etc), and then retry. I used the stable Raspppoe, not the beta (dont know which one you used) but its worth a shot. I had alot of problems before I got route sentry running, but I never had the problems you are having, the only thing I found was that I had to have 2 NIC's each having its own connection to the internet, then mine worked, but my problems were not the same as yours. If you have a spare harddrive install everything on there and see what happens, that will save you having to format.

Nah, I dont think its worth all the effort, I'll just keep changing conns in the router. Am using RASPPPOE0.99, dunno if its beta. Seems too weird, my problem that is, and the lack of support makes me rather stick with changing logins manually.
