hey all

i dont know if anybody noticed but the routing table of routesentry is getting kind of old, most traffic going to MTNNS seems to go through international?
does anybody know if there is a updated list???

Well, if you're on an IS local account their public route server will provide you with an up-to-date 'live' list of local only routes.

Telnet local-route-server.is.co.za and type in -> sh ip bgp

Some re-formating of output will be needed though.

wow thank you very much!!!!

does SAIX have a similar server?

Yep ...

tpr-route-server.saix.net

But there's is a bit more tricky as it is not a local-only server. Some stuff you can get from it (not 100% accurate) ...

sh ip bgp regexp ^$ should get you all of SAIX's own networks
sh ip bgp regexp 27795$ should get you all of Vodacom's networks
sh ip bgp community 5713:600 should be most their direct interconnects e.g. IS, Verizon, MTNNS etc.
sh ip bgp community 5713:800 should be most of their other customers e.g. iBurst, MWEB etc.

I have also noticed some local data going through my international account but I'm in the middle of exams and don't have time to reformat those addresses for routesentry so if any one does create a up to date route file please PM me.
