Hi,
It seems that when routsentry is active, I can't send email through my SMTP server "smtp.isdsl.net". I think it is because it wants to send mail through the local account, which can not work with smtp.

Is there ANY way around this problem?
Can somehow fix it by editing the localroutes file?
Is there an ISP that allows smtp on local accounts?
Can I somehow get an international smtp service?

Any advise is much appreciated! THANKS

Just use the smtp server of your international account. If SAIX based, then use smtp.saix.net

My international account is on IS, and when I use routesentry, I can't access smtp.isdsl.net

As soon as I disable routesentry, it works!

Any other ideas?

Guess you'll have to find a way to remove the smtp.isdsl.net ip address from the local routes file without impacting other local IS content, like the news server, which is on the same subnet...

Simple and easy way that I got it to work:

1) Sign up a free gmail account
2) Go to settings in gmail, accounts, and add your email address as the default sending from email
3) set up the gmail smtp details in outlook

This way, it is FORCED to use international bandwidth (as it contacts google's servers) and you will have no more problem with routesentry trying to send outgoing mail on the local account
