Hi all,

I'm going to a friend's tomorrow to try and help them set up RouteSentry on a Telkom Premium Combo.

I've tried to help over the phone and we got as far as setting up 2 connections on RASPPPOE (by creating one, renaming it to telkom, creating a 2nd and renaming it to webafrica) but when trying to dial both the 2nd one claims the device is busy.

Do I have to set the numbers of bridge ports in the router? Or is it sufficient by default? What type of WAN connection should it be, RFC1483 Bridged?

Sorry if all this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything in a search.

Thanks,
E

Set the number of "WAN endpoints" (or something like that) to 2 or more in the RASPPPOE protocol settings. Can't remember exactly how to get to those settings though.

I
f you are running Windows XP/2003, click the Start button, select Control Panel, then click Network and Internet Connections and then click the Network Connections control panel icon to bring up the Network Connections window.

then

5.4 Number of lines (WAN endpoints)

The protocol is capable of running several simultaneous PPP over Ethernet sessions through one adapter. This feature will probably be very rarely - if ever - needed. To allow this, you can configure the number of WAN endpoints (dial-up devices) the protocol exposes for a network adapter. The default is 1, and up to 10 WAN endpoints can be configured. This setting requires a reboot to take effect.

Set it to 2.
