Hi Guys

I've been reading a lot about Route Sentry and have tried it out, but unfortunately it isn't working like I expected (international and local is not really important) and I was wondering if you guys had any advice.

Basically, what I want to do is route WoW traffic through an unshaped account and all other activity through and shaped account. What makes this a bit more tricky is that I use a proxy service for WoW which runs through Freecap, more on that later. I also have two pc's on the network, one Vista and one XP.

It's more important that the XP machine gets done as this is the pc that uses the most bandwidth:

I have managed to both create two PPPoE accounts (shaped and unshaped) manually and also through the use of RASPPPOE (dail-up shaped and unshaped). So I can have them both running at the same time, only problem is I can't point WoW (Freecap) at the unshaped account.

Are you guys aware of any software that might be able to help me with this? Or should I find a proxy program that is more advanced than Freecap which will allow me to specify the actual connection to use for the WoW connection. I'm a bit confused, any help will be appreciated.

Ok, seems my router doesn't support half-bridged mode, so this wont work in Vista >.<

Still wondering about the traffic splitter for unshaped and shaped on the XP machine, any advice?

Hey Cloud,

Get yourself a Linksys WRT54GL and follow the instructions on this thread.

I have 4 PPPoE accounts running simultaneously of which 2 are dedicated for gaming similar to what you're wanting to do.

If you get the above router (assuming your current ADSL router can also run in bridged mode) run the latest 10a script's GateCrasher has created.

GateCrasher and the guys have done some BRILLIANT work in this regards!!

Hope you come right.
Cheers
Jacques

Eish, thanx for the info guys. At work atm, so I can't really check it out in too much detail. Just a quick question: Would I need to set up a linux box for this to work (Linksys router)?
