RROD after 3years and 3 weeks

Can you believe it, my Xbox got the RROD after 3years and 3 weeks, just outside the 3 year warranty.

It's the old 20Gig model. I bought the 120Gig Elite yesterday (Jasper model), I must say it's a lot quieter that the old one. Going to try and fix the old model myself this week.

3 weeks out of a 3 year warranty... I still suggest you call MS and see what they have to say. You're literally a borderline case and I'm sure if they're keen for some positive PR (very likely), they'll fix it under warranty.

I managed to fix the old Xbox360. I played for an hour without any problems. I won't be using two Xbox's so if anybody want to buy an Xbox360 (20Gig model) with 1x wireless controller (excluding batteries), 1x Microsoft headset (never used, I've got 3).

I know, just being honest. But you get a wireless controller with headset, which is worth a few hundred. It has a 20 Gig hd, which one can use on a Arcade version, the 20 gig is also worth a few hundred.

So you are basically paying R1000 for the wireless controller, headset and 20 Gig hd and then you get the Xbox for free (which is currently in working order).
