Only place in CTN with decent rep is BT Games in Tygervalley. They have a technician that does repairs.

Other than that, a few guys on Gumtree offer repair services. Can't vouch for the quality of their work unfortunately!

You Capetonians will just have to wait till I branch out ;)

Well then! Then Capetonians are in for a raw deal :(

I'm in Pretoria, and stand by the quality of my workmanship but some consoles are just stubborn and don't last long after a repair irrespective of the methods or equipment used.

Cybermedia does repairs (Rondebosch and Bellville) -- but they also do mods of consoles and sell backup games. Hence the fact I didn't recommend them but I do know they do repairs.

I will have to move back (CTN) sometime to help you guys out ;)

Call Ashwin on 084-620-2458. He is based in Crawford. I can personally vouch for him. Just say you got his details on an old Gumtree ad (that's where I got it from). Awesome service and with a guarantee. Charges R300 for repairs and R200 for flashing.
 
Pietermaritzburg there is no one I know of. All people from there send their consoles up.

As for the R300 repairs, you get what you pay for ...

Last year I invested R70k on equipment to repair RROD/YLOD and need to splash another significant amount to deal with the demand (20 'light of death/GPU error' consoles a week). My reball service is on hold till further notice ...

Courier company's like Fastway charge R45 for delivery to main centres (JHB, PTA, DBN, etc) so shipping isn't that expensive nowadays.
