RSA Web - they are getting worse

They had a new Black Friday deal this month and I understand the deal is only for new customers but what pissed me off is in the ad they claim their normal price is R500 and I pay R755 (50/50). When I queried why the normal price is advertised at R500 and not R755 I was given some bull reasons and eventually they sent me a copy of their T&Cs which still not clear it up. Only 1 more month when my contract is done and I will be looking for another ISP.
PS In their favour I've had very few connection or speed issues since I downgraded from 200/200 to 50/50.

I actually cancelled with RSAWeb this morning. They set up a incorrect expectation regarding moving an ONT; which is a complicated mess of a thing do get right anyway.

Afrihost were upfront and honest about the process i will have to follow. So I went with them. They are cheaper than RSAWeb as well.

Rocketnet wants a R1000 activation fee if I move from RSAWEB to them on VUMA because apparently VUMA charges this. Makes no sense because VUMA does not have to do a new installation.
Hi @ejozi, unfortunately, VUMA charges all ISPs a "Migration fee" for a service that has been live within 30 days. We are in constant discussions with them to have this reviewed. However, it currently remains and is a direct charge from them.

Yeah but it defeats the purpose of migrating as any savings made by migrating get eaten up by the fee.

RSA Web didn’t end up charging me for the router because my contract included it for free. They had made a mistake on their side.

Closed my account and have moved to https://flynet-isp.com/ who’s support is sublime and do it via WhatsApp

Hi ejozi,

We currently still have our BF Promotion still running.
You get 2 months free from date of activation plus your migration/activation is also free.

You can see our packages we offer on our website: www.mindthespeed.co.za

They send emails advertising that they have these great deals. Just to satisfy my curiosity I clicked on the link and their website isn't even available.

Now that is a positive sign. /sarcasm

Also trying to cancel with RSAWeb as they are inflating my monthly bill well over 10% in Feb. They also tell me that I'm not allowed to cancel with them, then take out a new, lower tier package with them. This is just b*llocks, and is clearly meant just so that they make as much money as possible.
Well yes, they are correct. Why would you cancel then sign up again for a cheaper package? Just downgrade your current package assuming you are not already on the cheapest

They are telling me that a downgrade is not possible, even though I was told differently by another agent a few weeks prior. The left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing.

Pity, with Afrihost you can do it YOURSELF in 3 minutes.
