Cut a long story short, service has been horrific. Ive spent plenty bucks with them over 3 years.

Submitted my cancellation yesterday and got a template reply from an actual person (good luck contacting anyone if you have connectivity issues) saying I needed to pay cancellation penalties.

Turns out no penalties due.

New reply this morning and RSA Web now want their router back and are expecting me to courier it back to them (at my cost) or drop it off (again time and money)

I didn’t request, ask or use their router its still in its box in my garage.

Just absolute terrible service.

Suggestions on how to get their router back to them without me paying or wasting a morning driving to their offices?

We used to have them at my previous job. Constantly having issues with our line, which is a huge mess for an online marketing agency.

Switched ISPs and the problems miraculously went away.

Turns out RSA Web have since changed their T&C’s since I signed up and now I can keep the router.

Anyone need a router shoot me a PM its nothing fancy but it can go to a good home after my rant.

Disney Plus starts spinning around 7 or 8pm, which is very frustrating on a 500mbps RSAWeb line. It's started to happen more often now and for longer. The speedtest still works and youtube seems OK (presumably the stuff I'm watching is cached). I haven't done line tests - rather just changed to youtube and watched something, but I'm curious to know what part of the network isn't doing its job

I signed up with them in January this year and yesterday I got a notification that they are increasing the cost of my package from R700 to R1085. That is not even a 10% increase which is normally a standard amount. Now to hunt for another ISP.

I also got a massive increase. When I applied to cancel I was given a slight discount to stay

yeah increases are never easy for any company to pass onto loyal customers but it is necessary but not at such a jump and then to give you a slight discount to stay is a bit cheeky especailly when support and network is not reliable or efficient look for another ISP that has great customer support and a decent network.

I also want to join the choir to sing the song of how horrible RSAWeb is.

I was with them for about 6 months, connectivity wasn't great but not awful, but when there was an issue there was zero support, can't reach anyone, turnaround time is huge. Ultimately took more than a month to process my cancellation.

As of 1 July I am rid of them and good riddance. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I also terminated their service

Reason: 8 to 10 times a week, the internet would stop for between 2 and 30 mins

Tickets took over a month to be answered

When I gave notice, they "forgot" to notify Vumatel

Then I was told that there would be penalties for leaving since I had this "free router". They overlooked the fact that I personally returned the router to their office 3 weeks after receiving it as it was faulty

I also have those periods when the service 'stops' and have given up logging calls as when they get around to responding the issue is gone, but it is really bad for business when you are presenting to a client and your line drops briefly.

Has this issue gone away with your new provider?

In November 2022 I bought the 200/200 Black Friday deal R585 + 3months free. The 1st of July they upped my price to R1085 (85% increase) and I still have not received my 3 months free. Tickets raised get closed with no action. I asked to reduce my speed and they want me to pay R579 extra, not only that when I asked to downgrade to 25/25, They said I could only downgrade to 50/50, but today they have an ad on Mybroadband advertising 25/25 packages. I have raised so many tickets but get ignored all the time. Their ad is misleading in so many ways that I would like Mybroadband to investigate them.

Post this 10 more times and then forward it to 10 friends.

They are beyond useless. They went down last night at 11......the greater Durban area, ergo south coast and all. It's still not up. Time I move, my first year with them is done, no penalty payments, time I move
