RSA Web just got voted the best ISP two years in a row by over a millions KFM listeners and yet some articles on MBB rate them about 5th down the line among best ISPs. It's clear that these figures cannot be accurate, no way????
 
Don't know what the people in CT are smoking , but its the good stuff. I'm with them, and yeah, the best....I think not

Its called money, you throw enough money at a company and they will say these types of things. Its called a sponsored ad, you might see them on tech sites often making these claims as well :)

We have them as our business ISP and the and Octotel (who they own) are both terrible :) in my opinion* :)
 
Well on MBB we hear that Cool Ideas is the best, yet there is almost on a weekly basis a complain thread about them?
I'm with RSAweb. do I think they perfect, no.
Have I seen anything that make me think there are better ISP's around, no.
 
I've been with RSAweb on Octotel for over a year and never had any issues. I'm based in Cape Town.

You hear the most about CISP + Afrihost because they actually got reps and use mybb as a channel for support where RSAWEB isn't so coming here and complaining about RSAWEB won't do anything whereas you are seeing support being done for CISP and Afrihost so of course you will see more complains because more of their customers are reaching out for help.

The only reason i initially signed up on mybb forums was so i had a channel to speak to someone high up at CISP.

The honest thing is your internet experience is mainly on your fibre network if you got a solid one then your problems will be very limited on any ISP, i personally am apart of a very good Vuma network and have had in like 4 or 5 years maybe 2 or 3 outages vs my work is on a bad Octotel link and we constantly have issues with throughput, packet loss and bad international speeds.

RSAWEB are the ISP and they do nothing about it, the problems eventually rectify itself and over time come back again but yea support from RSAWEB has been extremally poor. This also is a toss of the coin in who you get, you might get someone not good at their job or they having a bad day for example and things don't go well but the next 10 people have perfect experiences.

True yes, sponsored adds, I see them a lot. It's almost like fake news adds in a way lol???

I'm with RSA Web for about 2yrs now, after some disappointment with other ISPs before them and I'm highly stoked with their service, I think I had about 2 outages during this time for about 15min each. In comparison with the others I had, they are amazing. I chose them due to the fact that they were chosen as Cape Town's best ISP for the first time way back and they have proven to me personally why they've won this accolade now for the 2nd time. Yes their customer service sucks a bit, I had to resort to Facebook ones to get their attention and someone contacted me immediately but their internet service is impeccable for sure.

Yeah I've been with them for 2yrs and they've proved to me why they won the accolade as best ISP in Cape Town 2yrs in a row with KFM, 100%. I'm very happy too.
 
Been with RSA web for 7 months. The first 2 months were appalling. They supplied a faulty router and did not want to do anything about it

I really gave the complaint stick and threatened to cancel. All of a sudden it was sweetness and light, a 5% discount. Since then it has worked fine
 
So RSAWEB has been down in the whole Durban area (basically all the way down the south coast). Since 16:40. Second time in 3 weeks that it’s totally down. When you phone them, they blame everyone else, and then later you’ll get a sheepish little sms that there is an issue
 
Well it’s now been down on the south coast for 12 hours already

I smoke good quality indoor.

I'm with them since 2019, no issues with them directly, ever. Issues that did occur, was Octotel related.
 
Just a PSA to all RSAweb clients on the Octotel network. Sent through a cancelation request today as Afrihost is offering much better pricing on my existing 100mbps line.
Received a callback from their retentions department, not only will they price match, they will even better the price available from Afrihost. Will save me more than R300/month.
