RSAWEB Octotel Downgrade Fee

I enquired about downgrading my RSAWeb speed from 100/100 on Octotel to 50/50 as its just the missus and me. So I send RSAWeb a email to both their accounts & support team as to enquire about the procedure. They replied today and said that I would need to pay a "once off downgrade fee" of R250.00. I have never heard of a downgrade fee. I have been with RSAWeb now for 2 years so and its not like I have a contract with them of some sorts.

Are they taking the piss out of me or is it time to move to a different provider?

I was with RSAWEB for 2 yrs too.

Moved to Afrihost- no fee to move, so try that rather?

Afrihost don't have a downgrade fee- I've moved up and down packages as the need arises- how it should be...

I have learned my lesson. I am purchasing new property so I am looking at all options available.

Octotel don't charge the ISP for any downgrades or upgrades. They are just trying to make money out of VlakVark
