Looking really good so far. Not when compared to the 3080 and 3090 which are miles ahead, but it's effectively matching the performance of the 2080ti in just about every test (pulling ahead in some games, and a few frames behind in others), with a lower TDP, less GDDR6, but going for only $500.

One issue remains. Getting stock.

I would say that this is another issue being overexxagerated. Stock would have been an issue regardless, but somehow this is being tied to Nvidia’s pricing strategy and their believed to be MSRP manipulation. Stock is an issue now, and stock has been an issue in the crypto mining days, but stock shortages is a realised issue worldwide, and stability will only return around February-March 2021.

Yes, people should wait on AMD’s announcement, and I am certain that they will also have a stock issue though they will experience it through a much smaller window than Nvidia. People should save this Christmas, pricing and supply should start to normalise in Q1 2021 where every choice and option will be on the table at a more recommended price.

The only issue in my view is the times we are in, but the only way to negotiate through this is to play along with it. Many on the internet are behaving like seers.
