i want to watch the rugby game on Friday and i only have compact. Will dstv open the game for you if you ask them and then you just pay for the time the game is on dstv. I don't really want to go to pubs to go and watch. Has any one tried it?

Ok i have called them, and they said YES. I must upgrade for the day, then next morning downgrade. So i only pay my R260 + 1 day of view om Premium. If i listen correctly, its only R99

Based on my experience of upgrading to premium from compact every now and again for a week or so, the cost for 1 day should be around R20 more than your compact subs, unless they've made some sneaky changes to their pricing structure. However you can only downgrade once in a month for free, so you cant do it every weekend unless you want to pay a R50 fee each time.

leave your compact as it is atm. just get yourself the Walka and pay 49 extra every month. problem solved.
