Rumored Xbox 360 Price Drop

Microsoft has been rumored to drop its price by at least 30% on the Xbox 360 Pro Edition around August 2008. The package includes 20 GB HDD, wireless controller, ethernet cable, Xbox 360 Headset, Hybrid Component/Composite (HD/SD), HDMI port, Xbox Live membership. With all this included the rumored price instead of the current $349.99 will be cut to $299.99 Microsoft hopes to gain more sales by lowering the price of the Pro Package, in order to maintain a good image so they can appeal to more gamers. Microsoft might also soon be lowering the price on the Xbox elite and the separate 120GB HDD.

Good news for those buying new ... bad news for the 2nd hand market.

Remember the US (and AUS) didn't get price cuts when Europe did, so these are just the delayed versions of the ones we've already had.
