Hey, guys, do you have the experience of running your daily used apps off a USB drive?

Which is I am now trying to do. But I find that only portable apps can be run like that.

while some apps like MS office are not portably available. How can I do that?

I know there was some kind of portable Office 2007 that was an odd 500megs. It had word, excel and PowerPoint. You can do a bit of searching for it.

Hi,

There are a few solutions out there to making your own applications portable. I know a program called Thinapp from VMware as well as virtualisation solution from MoleBox.
Note that these apps can be trialed for some days before you can decide which one you like to purchase.
IMO, I like VMware thinapp.

Then you get the free one which is cameyo. Take it easy with those guys as they are just starting out but remember that the app is free.

If you not one to go about making your own portable stuff then I'd grab some free stuff from the link posted previously.

btw, were you thinking of MR> Jacklaz when you chose that nick?

Thanks. guys. and Rookie, I know VM Thinapp, but isn't it just a bit too high, by costs.
Just stumbled upon Prayaya. I installed prayaya on my USB drive and then installed MS Office 2003 suite on prayaya. It seems working very well on other computers.

I recall seeing a really cool little application on Source Forge that allowed you to run apps directly from a flash drive. Not everything was supported but it was pretty cool.

Would you please give me a link of that?

PhotoShop seems not working on that Pryaya.
