Runaway - Del Shannon Cover

So its been driving me nuts for a few years now. Heard a cover of Del Shannon's Runaway on the radio a few years back and thought it was an awesome rendition. The problem is I have no clue who the band is - countless, fruitless hours of research has brought me zilch. It's not one of the bands listed in Wikipedia, nor is it on youtube - making me think it must have been a local band??

And I don't remember the radio station either as it was playing at a restaurant which I left not long after the song played.

Anyone know who they are??
 
Haha, the punk band I had about 10 years ago did a cover of this. It was based on the cover done by Me First:

It is a great song and Del killed himself the day the Wilburys wanted to phone him and offer him Roy's position. Tom has always been a big Del fan. I first enjoyed that song when it was the soundtrack to the brilliant Ken Wahl show Wise Guy, where our good friend Kevin Spacey got his start as Mel Profit.

Enough trivia for one day...

If you have the energy, go to iomoio.com (russian MP3 site - I know, I know...) and search there - it has a large library but you may find it.
 
There was a tv show that had the tune. I cant remember the show. I used to watch it just to catch the song :D
