Russian hackers still targeting tech despite Biden sanctions

State sponsored Russian hackers? AFAIK no evidence for that has been produced.
 
Lol! This makes no sense. There is something fishy here:

In June, U.S. President Joe Biden said he gave Russian President Vladimir Putin a list of 16 critical sectors that shouldn’t be hacked to deter a cyber response from the U.S. government, but the attacks have continued.

The Kremlin, for its part, has repeatedly denied responsibility for any hacking attacks.

The attacks described in the Microsoft blog were unsophisticated operations attempted daily by Russia and other foreign governments.

the unsophisticated hackers were probably using windows 10, microsofts own spyware :p
 
must be a good business, especially when companies cough up the ransomware payments,
or more likely when they can send their friends to offer "consulting" and "solutions" to the affected companies and earn big bucks doing this.

MS Exchange, The Colonial Pipeline, Twitch, CNA (the 'murican insurance company), JBS, WMPD, Accellion. Granted, those are mostly ransomware attacks, but that's what 'murican hackers have been up to.
