Hi

Maybe some one else also had the same problem.
I recently bought a Usb TV Tunner Got the card installed , setup of the software no problems and can play my DVD player perfectly though the S video port on y laptop.

But the moment I connect my HD PVR to the card through the S video the picture goes inverted and blurry. The decoder is the only device that is giving a blurred/distorted picture my DVD player ( used to test the S Video I know I can play DVD's without the card ;)) is working perfectly.

It seems as if the decoder is sending out a different signal than the rest of my equipment that also have a S Video out on them.

Any one else came across this and do you have a solution?

Could it be MacroVision protection on your HD PVR to prevent recording from the PVR ?

Yup. Unless you have a degree in microelectronics and willing to get your hands dirty to bypass the "third chip on the right" with a soldering iron and a few lead wires, your are not going to get a clear signal. Unfortunately PVR hackers are a shy bunch for fear of retribution from multichoice. :D
