so trying to help somebody, S21 ultra,
out of warranty with Samsung, brought in 2023
reading online seems to be quite a few issues with this happening, and various reports of free fixes, (none work for me)
and apparently a service bulletin out there for a free replacement (till sept 2025), but went and asked samsung who told me this is false, or not active in SA,
www.sammobile.com
so its a replacement LCD? and this is where I need to deal with the pakistani okes who are plain crooks,
apparently 3 different kinds, one clone with no fingerprint reader, goes for between 1,5K and 2K
and one slightly better, still cloned display goes from 2,5K to 3K
and one Original starts from 3,5K to 4,7K.
Samsung themselves quoted me replacement of 4,7K, vodacom was 6,8K
ridiculous prices, and the phone works perfectly if you can deal with a permanent green line in the middle of the phone constantly.
what do you okes do, just trade it in and buy something else?
fix it? use it this way?
