Hi there. I hope you are all well.

I need some clarification on the configuration of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro on the S24 Ultra. I have done a considerable amount of research but cannot find a satisfactory answer to the scenario below.

The phone has Dolby Atmos and Dolby Atmos for gaming, as well as the ability for custom EQ in the sound quality and effects audio settings tab.

However, I was under the impression that those settings are applied to the phone's speakers or USB-connected earbuds/headphones.

The Galaxy Buds2 Pro are controlled by the Samsung Wear application. In the application, there is 360 audio with head tracking as well as an equalizer with set templates.

Now the Galaxy Buds2 Pro are advertised to use Dolby Atmos via the 360 audio setting, and in some cases, it is suggested that to enable 360 audio, you should disable Dolby Atmos in the phone's audio settings. Some users have indicated that enabling 360 audio disables Dolby Atmos.

However, in my case, I have both Dolby Atmos enabled as well as 360 audio, as well as my custom EQ set. Admittedly, the audio is absolutely fantastic; however, I am left rather confused as to what the correct configuration should be for this combination.

If anyone could possibly check on their side to see if this is an unintended bug or if possible, advise based on experience what the correct settings should be, that would be great.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Additionally, what settings do you all prefer for music/movie listening: 360 audio or Dolby Atmos?

#firstworld problems,

problem I have with all of these flashy EQ's and settings, is the average person cant really tell the difference,
audio is so subjective, environment and people change, so its extremely hard to say if fiddling with settings makes any sort of difference.

sure I might feel different if you went and brought a pro DJ set of headphones that cost 5K, but for a pair of wireless headphones
not so much.

Yeah, I'm not expecting recording studio-quality audio here. For that, I have a pair of Audeze Maxwell's. I'm just asking how other people who have the Buds2 Pro have set their configurations based on experience, or if anyone else has encountered this odd behavior of both 360 and Atmos enabled simultaneously.

I cannot enable 360 Audio and Dolby Atmos simultaneously. It's either or. I'm using the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. Personally I prefer the 360 Audio with head tracking, but I've only used it for a few days so this might change when the novelty wears off.

Strangely, on mine, I have both enabled: Dolby Atmos music and gaming with a custom EQ, then in Galaxy Wear, 360 Audio with Dynamic. The users over at Samsung's official forums are also able to enable both at the same time. Maybe there was a trick to it, or maybe it's a bug. Either way, the sound is absolutely incredible, and I'm loving it. :D

Tried the custom eq with dolby atmos and it's sounding better than the 360 audio, but still can't get both on at the same time
