Hi all, time to upgrade and I don't really know which phone to choose. Anyone has real life experience with these and can advise on the good and bad?

those two are at totally different price ranges - the honor 600 pro is to be compared more to the S26 rather than any FE version - thats a closer pricing matchup - still hard to say which will be better FOR YOUR PURPOSES given that both have advantages and disadvantages in differing areas - you still have to compare and decide if you want a better camera and battery charging as well as display experience OVER AND ABOVE better software and more features and better data transfer with easier availability and after sales service

And 100 watt charging, 50 wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

the Samsungs have reverse wireless charging as well, including the S25FE though not as fast as the Honor - the advantages of the faster charging depend entirely on your charging habits - do you do it overnight while you sleep or do you have a wireless charger or do you really want the fast charger so that when you wake up you set the phone to charge while you shower/bath and get ready for your day

more generally not related to the charging aspects .....in the Samsungs, the Exynos 2600 chip as used in ZA still has increased performance over the Snapdragon 8 elite used in the 600 pro ..... and while the Elite 8 gen 5 is definitely better the exynos 2500 is inbetween the 8 elite and 8 elite gen 5 (performance wise)

still while the choice belongs to the opening poster its still futile to compare phones belonging to different ends of the market ie midrange vs lower flagship models and declaring the lower flagship to be vastly superior (it has to be because of price differentials)

I'd go for the Honor as well. Interesting that I was reading about it this morning.

What's the price difference between the two?

we have to look at RRP since it will be cheaper to get (alternatively sourced) Grey Stock models but RRP on the honor 600 pro is R19999 and on the Galaxy S26 is R20999 RRP on the S25FE is far lower at closer to R16k IIRC (Samsung store itself has it fairly lower (non Grey models ie not like the takealot deals)

I got the Samsung S25 FE about a week and a bit ago for R8,700 and happy with it.

I don't game on the phone but my normal day to day life its more than good enough, its fast (even running it on a battery saver/light mode) and its running very good. Getting nearly 2 days from the battery with moderate use.

at that price it is definitely a Parallel import (Grey Stock unit) however the only disadvantage here is that Samsung wallet probably does not work but you can flash the phone to a local XFA CSC and make it work if you really need it ..... but if you don't flash it you can use Google wallet as an alternative instead (will do a similar job)

at that price it is an incredible amount of value since the local model RRP is at around R16k so you got it discounted to basically half price and its still hugely better than the Apple budget models (16e and 17e) which are closer to the top Samsung A series models even though the iphones have stronger CPUs but they don't have as much software functionality as any Samsung S series phone

Bought it from Amazon SA and everything is working. It's a South African version, it was on their Prime Day sale.

What I never mentioned is its the 128GB version.

My box even says 24 month warranty for South Africa. Phone also came with approved by ICASA sticker on the phone and then on the box is also mentioned approved by ICASA
