S4 tracking

"Hi guys a friend of mine has lost his samsung S4.
Is there anyway that this phone could be tracked?
We have used android device manager and android lost.
Didn't seem to help.
Any other suggestions?

Phone must not be online. I think device man only works if the phone is still on your Google details so once reappropriated it won't work.

This. Its a bit more difficult to remove your Samsung account from the device.
