There seems to be some major routing issues atm with regards to local peering.

ie. Saix account on ip 165.146.x.x would get an extra hop causing packetloss, where the same account forced to ip 165.146.x.x would not see this extra hop at all.

ps. no specific ip is mentioned because I didnt monitor the ips I tried.

This seems to happen on SAIX/IS and UUNET atm, very odd issue, hopefully someone is investigating this.

Who knows... but I am getting miffed with ADSL .. trying to FTP sync my server in europe to SA and all I get is ~10K/sec (erratic from 2K/sec up to 25K/sec) (and then timeouts more often than not) on a 512K adsl line.... (not capped..)

in iBurst, the same sync is running at 52K/sec with no problems....

beyond a Joke

I dont see the mystery gateway anymore, but that was indeed a weird scenario.

Yup its back, Great going Telkom or whoever is in charge.

Different ip's giving an extra hop causing packetloss.
