Hey peeps.. I've noticed the 2 top spots on the cheapest ISP list on Hellkom have gone from R229 (budgetadsl) to R228 (imaginet) to R225 (budgetadsl).. could they be pitting it out? lol.. and to think the wholesale price for a 3GB account is what 190 beans ex VAT..

they make R9 profit on an account?????

No way, somethings wrong there. I wont go through all that effort just for R9. how many users must you get to get decent profits?
 
Well if you run the server as a "home based" type thing and you get to sign up 1000 users...

Makes for some sort of income, provided that it is not your only source of income.
 
surely even if you run if from home you will have some overheads. what potential costs would be involved?
 
A leased line or ADSL, landline/fax line for adsl applications, and beer.
