SA cricket quotas increased

CSA want/need money.
CSA need sponsors as gate revenue is negligible.
The overwhelming biggest source of revenue is broadcast rights.
CSA agree to broadcast all games and the broadcasters tender for the rights.
CSA receive megabucks.
I doubt either of the broadcasters have the capacity to do that on their own.

I wonder how much KFC/Toyota/New Era contributes to the Big Bash compared to our RAM Couriers and our RamSlam?

..franchises will be required to field at least FIVE players of colour in all competitions, TWO of whom must be black Africans.
I find it interesting that they are now introducing another racist requirement into SA sport. In the past it was all about introducing "players of colour" so that all other races except whites had the opportunity to play in our sports teams.
They have now gone a step further in introducing "black african" into the mix

This is going to kill the quality of cricket in SA soon.

In order to be one of the best, the kids have to play from a young age, less than 8 years old. Especially batsmen. The young white kids who are interested in cricket will be told by others not to persevere with cricket because of quotas. So they won't put their full heart into the game. We will miss out on many great players. Lot's of "could've have been's".
