DIALUP where you get charged per second that you are online must die. It's a sick system.
Agreed, but dial up where local calls are free would be a vast improvement and would give countless people affordable internet access and ensure that they had the all-important-for-adsl copper pair going into the house.stoke said:

I'm not surprised that dial-up have stagnated. It's the ridiculous pricing and low speeds that's scaring off most people. But at least it's unshaped and uncapped...

Cheap access = more users = better adoption of online services this is however provided people have pcs.. but then how many people have pc's that aren't connected to the net.. alot cause of costs.
3) Forces the cap to be bigger unless dial up has a cap (which is very likely if broadband is capped heavily) same way time/dial costs do this, difference being money made this way go to isp(and access provider) rather than direct to telecoms company for call charges..
