Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if anybody has any experience with SA Digital Villages?

I am Moving into Greenstone Crest and i would like to know if you guys have ever Dealt with this bunch before and what it was like?

Oh yes, and you can read all about it on HelloPeter.

Long story short: it is a PITA to get them to actually install the fibre (you have to beg them to take your money, really) but once it is up and running it is relatively smooth sailing. We stream ShowMax, Netflix etc. and game without issues.

Lol thats hilarious,

Iv heard they have latancy issues?

So bad that the line drops?

And would you have any idea of contention ratio?

Thats mate!

Correct, on the begging part. I am so damn disappointed that they laid fiber here and not telkom.

You can't get much done and their pricing is rediculous.

Dunno about line drops and latency issues. I get what I over pay for and Netflix doesn't buffer.

I have SA Digital Villages in my complex in Lonehill and so far things have gone well.
I have Cool Ideas as my ISP and I haven't had any latency/unplanned downtime.
DFA maintenance was announced ahead of time and thus no surprise on the downtime.

I'm willing to bet your body corporate begged them 3 years ago and it was finally completed when you moved in or magically showed up whilst you where a tenant, so it seemed seamless to you, but in the background a couple of body corporates lost their humor.
