What is this "indicator" you speak of and where can I purchase one?
Have you seen the prices they charge for these extras? Oh - you want a steering wheel too...that'll be an extra 20k sir.they obviously sell indicators as an optional extra. Seems like nobody purchases this option though.
Thats still 3-5 years away.If you drive a BWM
We all know that taxis would crop up at the top of every South Africa drivers ''hate'' list, but I find it pointless to complain anymore as, a) they won't change & b) government/traffic authorities will do nothing to ensure they change their on-the-road behaviour.
We have horrible drivers in SA.
Friend of the family from the UK is a truck driver for a living, he was totally freaked the first time he drove in SA.
Drivers must be alert all time. I only use Hazard when stopping. Indicators is for noobs.
thats exactly the crappy attitude normal drivers have adopted. now its a free for all and the authorities are powerless to stop it.

the indicator lever is too far and i heard rumours saying if you use indicators too much it drains the battery.
Not sure if serious.

That's why all cars comes equipped with an ingenious device called an alternator.
alternator does not work well in the highveld region. Actually some guy now on focus st just changed lanes without indicating.
So it seems Ford and BMW are highly affected.

It's not even that much effort - if your hands are in the proper position on the steering wheel (not on top like a budgie on a perch) you just have to move one finger to reach the stalk. If I can do the effort of indicating my turns using my arm then the least they can do is to flick a lever.
As a cyclist you are heavily dependent on motorist using their indicators. It is very hard to know what a car is going to do if they do not use their indicators. If I can do the effort of indicating my turns using my arm then the least they can do is to flick a lever.
