SA exercising right to nuclear research

Really? With all the stuff in the news - you never knew that Ukraine did the same?
And Italy, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, Romania and a few others voluntarily gave up their nuclear weapons projects.

Didn't Ukraine return Russian weapons that they did not have the launch codes for?

“We also derive great benefit from nuclear applications in areas such as health, nutrition and agriculture,” she said.

Am I the only one who laughed at that? The nutrition part is hilarious.

Its not classified information. I know a lot about Pelindaba's civilian production, thanks to a uncle who does industrial x-rays. I used to moonlight for him as a student - worked shut-downs - horrible hours, good food and great pay(for a student).

I didnt think it was classified, the information just felt too specific for an average person to know, so I suspected a scientist.

Sounds like Iran

What I thought. Doing research for Iran. Easy peasy!

Unlike Iran, I would be more than happy for the USA to invade us and depose the president and governing elite. It would be the least contested invasion in history :)

We'd be so lucky? Truth is that they would not be that interested seeing as are constantly striking over one thing or another or bickering with the next one in court. Like Jab's story above, our lot are so focused on the next election, we would not notice if we were invaded by the USA, Nigeria or Zimbabwe.
