SA Guilds 2010

<Bad Blood> Kilrogg - EU (PVE)

<Bad Blood>

90% South African guild at the moment. Hoping to get those numbers up :)

Also, on the same server there was a 100% South African guild called <Z.A.R.P.S>, although I have not seen them around since 3.3.3 rolled out so I fear they may have disbanded.

Added.
PS. I couldn't find any details on wowprogress.com to indicate if you're a 10-25M guild so assuming you're a social/growing guild for now? :)

Thanks! We're a 10Man guild, going for 10 man strict. 3 Bosses in to ICC at the moment. Yeah, not much progress but we'll get there :)

Ok great thanks, trying to have as much detail as possible to help guide folks who start fresh on a realm.

If anyone is tired of playing on Blizz server for whatever reason:

http://wow.cs.wits.ac.za

Local server, minimal lagg, good uptime, fully scripted quests and instances to be Blizz-Like

Spoke to someone I know who is also involved at Wits IT. He will send a mail to Wits Networking

Well, these servers are non commercial. They never get critical mass, and if one manages to do so maybe farking Blizzard needs to catch a wake up and put up a local server FFS!!!! I gave them enough time to do so! I am not going to remove links to local servers. At least for the time being.

to be fair, why the hell not? what antowan said is very true. and if blizzard actually gets a legit server in sa, more than half the peeps on the hack servers will move over. which means we can actually participate in pvp and not be left in the dust. or throw out heals properly, and our dps will increase by anything between 200 and 2k. in the meanwhile, blizzard loses money because some people (quite a few I think) want to raid like they are meant to, or do bgs will actually landing all the hits they know they put in

I disagree. As with legit movie downloads, South Africans are basically just cheap ass bastards and will continue to play on the pirate servers even if Blizzard put a server next door.

dont think so, (most of) those of us that play wow want the full experience, leveling new alts etc. glitch free raids and hcs (well, i can do without hcs) and if it was available at sub 75ms latency, would pay for it. they can afford internet after all. one case of beer a month less is all it takes...

Hi Guys,

We are a raiding guild on TH, the GM and myself (vice GM) are south African with a few others and we have mixed europeans but a tight guild. We are on LK 25 at the moment and 7/12 10 HC.

Pirate servers has more bugs than Blizzard servers, and they dont provide "glitch free" raiding. I'm getting the full experience on my original wow server thank you very much. We raid cashually and we are sitting at festergut. :)

ps. R 130.00 odd per month for the game is not asking too much. It's not like it will be cheaper when hosted locally.

we dont really want cheaper, we want lower ms thats all , with the current F@#kups with the local ISP's we gamers have to sit with 400 > ms and its just not cutting it.

THIS! have u ever played overseas? trust me, raiding on a sub 100ms latency is a completely different experience. COMPLETELY. pvp, its like playing single player with no internet connection. everything is smooth, and the only player that blinks, is *GASP* a mage

Forming a new guild on Karazhan, basically was not happy with the current set up, not bashing anyone, just trying it again a bit differently, anways The Apocalyptic Bovines has been rolled, focusing on 10 man raiding twice a week, 3 hours a pop, focus required when we do raid other than that it's all fun, just turned the site on today, busy getting everything intergrated at present. Will post up what we are wanting to recruit shortly on the site itself.
