I am trying to find reliable stats and trends on South African internet usage and penetration. I have found a wide range of varying info - internetworldstats.com lists 5.1million users in 2006 (referenced to ITU) whereas World Wide Works estimates only 3.85million users by the end of 2007.
As you can see, there seems to be a difference of opinion... Would somebody here be able to point me in the right direction? I am looking for SA-relevant stats and trends that are perhaps more recent, as well as that provides some indication of the growth and breakdown between mobile, broadband and dial-up users...
