SA is crashing and burning

How's the packing going? My house is in shambles at the moment, boxes everywhere... things slowly disappearing... sort of depressing really.

That big box called 'Fragile' it's been booked so just leave it alone for now.

There is a lot to do.
We are doing the usual "tiding" - getting rid of junk that piles up and makes the place look "cluttered".
Getting estate agents to come look next month, and then it is going on the market. A few bits and pieces to tie up personally as well, such as some exams later this year.
But otherwise, having made the "final decision" now, the stress is pretty much reduced!

Calling people who look at the facts without rose-tinted glasses "idiots" is a bit rich.
It is the "idiots" who accept things we see now as "normal" and who will vote the same idiots back into power next year.

I just think the "idiots" are just are unsure of the future.
But it doesnt mean its "burning or crashing"
Life is still going on... we still working as normal, inflation and the markets are unstable all over the world... Electricity shortage is proof that the countries growing.

So by your terms, looking at the facts means having to post a new thread about how SA is going down every day? Cause all these posts are just the same thing over and over.

AFAIK there have been threads on how to improve SA as well and they weren't very succesfull either :/

The fear of SA failing probably sparks more emotion in most people than anything else. So I don't really blame them for posting about it all the time.

I think if they really didn't care they wouldn't be talking about it even if it is negative.

Perhaps you need to look closer.
Eskom is short 8000-12000MW on 38000-42000. That is not a sign of "growth" - it is a sign of Eskom's failure.

Not according to Carte Blanche. If I recall correctly they mentioned that we are producing less now than we were what..10 years ago? Then came the staff cuts and retrenchments and BEE and what not :/
