My questions is :

1. What is the lowest average ping in WOW any1 from SA got - mine is about 450-800
2. What server EU/US - i am at EU
3. What connection ADSL,ISDN,3G..... - i use Vodacom's 3G

I guess you will never be truely able to enjoy a rogue on our latency, wow is playable in SA but just not FULLY enjoyable.

I could not beleive it when a guy from england told me that he was lagging, i asked him REALY?, so he tels me his latency was almost 600 and its unplayable for him and he is going to quit now because he usualy gets about 50-60 latency. And here i am very happy to get 600

Maybe i should think of moving to Europe or US for the sake of WOW?

1. Average ping: 350 to 750ms
2. Realm: US - Gnomeregan
3. ADSL, 4MB

The last few days the latency has been around 600-900ms though, but it improves intermittently.

Wow, unplayable at 600ms? Seems like he's a bit fussy, or primarily PVP. I have no problem grinding at 600 - 800ms latency.

I normally ping between 300-400, but the last 2 weeks is was 300-600... The more I play the more I realise that a low latency isnt all that important. I PvP alot, and I win alot more than I lose. Against someone my own level to maybe 3 levels above me I win 90% of the time if we are both solo.

i used to play WoW all the time, I recently spent a few months in Europe playing it with between 30-60 latency, and I promise you it makes a world of difference, I wish I had never played it with such low latency, because now I am unable to play anymore as the high latency frustrates me.

My favourite thing is when im dueling a hunter and on my screen im right next to him, but he's still shooting me while running away... Blizzard should have given us our own server.

lately my ping has been terrible it increases at times to 3000 + but i usually get 400 - 1000 which is playable

:(

My friend with ADSL connection also have the same problem all of the weekend. We hope this will get better during the week. My 3g is working but i also have allot of trouble staying connected, i get a latency of about 600 but lasts for about 30mins and then just nothing, the connection is sill on but no data flowing, then after a restart it usualy works :(

250-400 over this weekend unshaped 512k Web Africa.. generally 300-400 during the week, and often 400-450 in battlegrounds and instances. Overall I'd really suggest unshaped for anyone who wants to ensure as low a latency as possible..

I'm not sure how much line speeds affect it, I get those pings on 512kb. If anyone with 1meg or 4meg could comment..

I went from 192k to 384k and now am currently playing on a 4mb line an latency has always been the same.

Only difference is, now 40 people can play WoW on my line, without it affecting the latency.

Have to agree i have 1G line and there is no difference to my 512 line before, except the extra cost.most nb is the unshaped account before on shaped I almost quit latency had become so bad....yeh apart from more ppl being able to play
