Is it just me, or have you noticed that most South African companies seem to be completely lax about security and dont bother to patch? I mean the basics, like a firewall... blocking off dangerous ports, open proxies, open access points >>> list goes on to the detriment of their clients data/services.

Please nominate candidate companies with an explanation, after voting the winner will receive a "stupid badge" & a step by step guide on how to fix their problem.

hehe man im in pietermaritzburg, I say cisco and people look at me funny like a did a qualification on how to become a cowboy. a CCNA is a basic entry level thing, there is allot more out there. Anything is better than run of the mill though.
