Dont know about you, but im getting wide spread reports of problems with the ADSL network. I can confirm that the Cape Town iburst network is TERRIBLE, up and down like u wouldnt believe.

What connection do you have, and how would you rate it?

IS 512K Uncapped ADSL:

1/10 - The reliability, speed and latency have been SHOCKING the last 6 months. Packet loss and interruption of international connectivity is a daily headache.

same here, im getting average speeds of 7KB/s on a 512 line, tho im on a capped IS account

DSL384 - should be more like DSL84.

The daytime speeds are absolutely appaling, especially around luncthime when the entire country checks their emails and surfs the net. My MSN and Skype also keep disconnecting magically.

I used to be on a 256k Uninet package, same speeds 24/7, solid 32KB/s.. sigh, the good old days.

dsl192k/3GB shapped saix/cybersmart.

Everything has been working fine since last yr except for esr problems last yr, and isp related issues with axxess(auth probs last yr). Otherwise its all fine and dandy up until to day where i'm getting packet loss and lagging on services like msn/telnet etc. Speed is consistantly good. Then again i don't p2p/game except text mud.

When hasen't it been shaped to hell? I just didn't realise it ended up looking like a pear though :p

Seriously though, browsing on BusinessADSL512 and 10GB SAOL is fine, and earlier (this afternoon) browsing and CSS'ing at home HomeDSL384 on SAOL was also fine.

My DSL, was perfect till this year. Only recently have a seen a great degradation, in quality of service.

DSL 384k SAIX Reseller

my dsl is bloody good as well, havent had troubles really, mainly p2p and gaming, actually getting 56kb/s dbn circuit.
