It's just a poor look that they need trot out tired old Zille to potentially stand for mayor. If it wins them the city then bully for them but ya don't look too good. Zille has gone too far to the right since her Cape Town days as well.

If it’s such a bad idea, let her run for mayoral candidate and see if she makes it. Otherwise SHURRUP.

As for every other political party crying about Zille, why not choose your own mayoral candidate instead of crying about who the DA is picking. These DA competitors are absolutely shitting themselves!

You won't find me arguing, I'm not the biggest Zille fan.

But there's obviously a section within the party who think that leveraging off her Cape Town story might be a good enough strategy to win over new voters. Because one thing that there's no doubt about is Joburg is in desperate need of fixing. And it's the ANC and their partners (including ASA) who oversaw the collapse from the Al-Jamahaha days...

You don’t have to vote for her then 🤔. All the DA haters should be rejoicing if she’s such a terrible choice.

Zille competing for any position in the DA is like Zuma competing for a position at Gwaza Mkhonto, it's a formality.

Yeah, I'll be real curious how (God)Zille does in an election.
Though to be honest they should choose someone else as Zille is just too much of a risk, even though she will do a good job. But if they do choose her, it will be fun to watch the other teams have a meltdown like MK did.

That she is disliked (though all the ANCs lies about her) more than she is liked.

She is a tough nut (as was demonstrated through her actions during apartheid) and speaks her mind, which can sometimes get you into hot water.

The DA would not select her over another candidate who has a higher chance of being elected. They have sophisticated polling techniques and would not make such a rookie error.
