As sad as the deaths of the 12 are, the language used is important though.

A bus and a truck collided, it is not certain yet how the collision happened.

Yes, because truck drivers have an excellent track record on the roads like taxis.

Putting my money on the truck causing the accident or being at fault. Bus drivers are generally elders and are very cautious when they have plenty of people on board.

I've got news for you if you think it's only truck and taxi drivers who have complete contempt for our traffic laws.

Ugh drives me mad. Pun intended. I drive the M1 daily, and the emergency lane is now just a lane for everyone, even if there isn't bad traffic, they blast past there at 120km/h. Many days I cannot turn off the highway due to them driving in that lane, and carrying on straight. I am tempted to start throwing nails in front of them from my car honestly.

The ease at which people put other lives in danger is staggering. Roads are death traps now. Lawlessness and a massive DGAF attitude wont just go away. Mirrors the attitude of the politicians. Holier than thou.

Terrible accident though. I have seen a truck/taxi aftermath on the road and it gave me nightmares. :(

The joys of the absence of consequence management in this country in general means that nobody cares about the consequences anymore.

They are not the only ones but they take the cup and are right there at the top.

This is what happens when the law enforcing "rotten apples" has infected the entire basket, and the only remedy for the entire basket being rotten, is to get rid of the entire basket, and then pick new fresh apples. This cannot happen under an ANC regime. and will take a good number of successive non-ANC government to fix, so strap in Joburgers, because you deserve the government you elected.

I feel sorry for you, I really do. But you chose this.

Too many frikking idiots - at least in johannesburg.

With number of people on cellphone while stdriving, I am surprised I don't see at least 1 accident every day. I swear I have seen people with tablets on steering wheel. I am sure temu sells some kind of fitment.

In Cape Town there are very few people that still respect stop signs and red lights.
