No, they are not, they are an opposition party that has realised we have one common enemy to progress, and that is the DA.
Yeah you shouldn't drink so early in the morning, it's not a good look for you Champy.

Live DA statement - There still needs to be a settlement agreement completed with the Minister of Finance and the department of Finance.

So its close but not signed yet.

What agreement? I thought we're waiting for a court judgement?

That's the reason the DA wins polls and not elections.
You just wait and see in next election. We have talked to our soweto friends and you are gonna be bamboozled at the next results. Mark this post and come back to it that time, will you ?

Probably means end of the GNU, with all the smaller parties joining the ANC for GNUv2.

Short term gain, with severe long term pain. This is the standard ANC operating procedure, as long as the current cadres can extract maximum, it shall be so.

The smaller parties will be annihilated at the ballots come next election cycle, and form the basis for more stable coalitions with less partners. Long term, this is a good thing. Parties like AlJammahamamama-haman-hamana, BOSA, Rise, ASA will simply be wiped from the map. It will start at the source of funding, which translates to the actual votes.

And with such a narrow margin, the ANC have saddled up a horse that they will not enjoy to ride. So many concessions to keep everybody aligned, it's going to be ANC-death-by-a-thousand-cuts. But it will give the current ANC cadres some breathing room to grow those swiss bank accounts.

Part of me thinks the DA and EFF should reject the out of court settlement since it's obvious the government knows the court will rule against it and ultimately strengthen democracy and accountability.
Yeah that is my thinking as well

Judging by the questions raised by the judges there were some serious procedural problems as well as executive overreach that actually need to be addressed
