No, I shall continue talking about the service delivery in Tshwane because it interest you so much you came running when you saw my post.
It is a shame that the lives of innocent black people mean nothing to you. This is why no one votes for you anymore.

You can jump up and down, scream and tear your clothes, but you can't change facts, and the fact is, football in SA has never needed transformation because it has always been inclusive, unlike rugby or cricket.

This is the first Bafana squad in 1992 when SA was readmitted back in international football, we never needed quotas or transformation laws to select the squad. Even back then we already had white coaches and a white captain, again no national uproar needed, no quotas.

Now show me the rugby and cricket teams in 1992, tell me how long it took to have a black captain or coach for those teams, I will wait.

That's the thing. What changed between 1992 and now? Where are the minorities? Why can't you answer this?

On rugby and cricket, I'll agree. While cricket still lags behind, admittedly the rugby landscape has changed dramatically since 1995 and especially since 2019 after the RWC win with Kolisi, Mapimpi, etc.

You won't even let them wallow in self-pity & victimhood. How cruel of you.
Eish, the Ghost of Kashmir, whose English friends hate Afrikaners, is talking a lot, hey?

Secondly, since when is demanding what's good for the goose is good for the gander victimhood? Is it really victimhood to demand that everyone is represented properly in every sport?

A useful thing to do is try to talk some sense into @Sultan Mustafa, he will listen to you. He has been barking up that wrong tree of Bafana needing transformation for ages, despite all the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, every single time there is something about national football he brings it up.
Because what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

If rugby and cricket had to (and should) open up to more black players, why can't the same happen in soccer for coloured, white, etc players? Or is there a quiet part that mustn't be said out loud?

Why is it that when a national/sport franchise team is almost lily White, there's a furore (which I actually understand in 2025), but when you point out Bafana and most PSL teams being almost pitch Black, we are regaled with wonderful memories of the 90s, but zilch about why things are as they are now.

I won't let it go. I'll still back them if they play at the WC or AFCON don't get me wrong, but the hypocrisy is what grinds my gears. Every time.

They clearly need transformation, they're too heavy on the majority and not exercising the skill and experience available to them from the minorities which evidently got them the CAF in the 90s
No, that's victimhood to ask for better representation.

When you see no white players in the National football team that had white players even before democracy, just accept that it's a wonderful coincidence.

When you see no black players in the Rugby/Cricket national teams where the powers that be resisted transformation with everything they had until transformation has to be enforced, be suspicious.

As I said, wonderful 90s memories. Where are they now? Are there none now? Did WMC call an embargo on soccer?

What changed?

It's all thanks to Motsoaledi.

Don't worry about football, there is no problem there as you can see despite your denials.
Wake me up when there's more than one minority player (e.g. Ronwen Williams on Goalie) on the main Bafana team in the next few years

There is more than one minority player in the team, you obviously don't follow the team enough to know, which makes even more sense to focus on the teams that needs your scrutiny.

Ronwen Williams
Ricardo Goss
Oshwin Apollis
Jayden Adams
Lyle Foster
Rushwin Dortley
Iqraam Rayners
Fawaaz Basadien.

You are barking up the wrong tree Mustafa, have some self respect and let it go.

Most recent call-up. Dortley, not included.

First hilarious anecdote from Tony Leon's new book.

While Cupcake was a board member of what was then known SA Breweries, he ensured that SAB donated money to electoral parties based on the percentage of the vote they obtained in the 1999 election. Leon complained to the CEO that this maintained the status quo but as wryly remarked: "When I give the DP R1m, I know it will be spent on the election - the R5m I give to the ANC will be stolen and pissed up the wall, so their apparent funding advantage will disappear!"
