Stating the obvious? If we maintain good relations with the US, we might just score. If we don't, our already fragile economy will begin tumbling on itself.

If the economy does well and things improve, people are more likely to walk over to DA and others in GNU. If things only get worse, they'll walk over to EFF and MK (which we don't want).
 
Verkramptes are raging, cadres and ground forces are coping. The US is placated.

Now the USA need to put pressure on ANC for "Change" that the ANC and Cyril loves to talk about. But its not the "Change" they would like.
 
Well that was a damp squib. We were all hoping for a Zelenskyy moment. This all comes down to whether any deal can actually be struck. The real meat and potatoes here will be what happens behind closes doors.

The DA is nothing compared to a party like MK, which will wipe the floor with the ANC in the next election. The GNU is on borrowed time.

The ANC are unfortunately racist (some of them anyway) and only pull out their megaphone when a white person says something but don't do the same for the likes of Malema against minorities. They need to change that.

Lol, some of you alleged south Africans are weird to wish for that. Trump believing and advancing his genocide and pressure is bad for everyone still here. At least Trump now says he's not decided if there's genocide. As if it's religious lol.

I wasn't that would just be seen as Trump attacking some poor country.

This was very well done showing the hate allowed to thrive live to millions of people and the SA government having no answers and just trying to change the subject to "give money".
 
I take it the rest of it is actual work now that the show at Apollo has ended? Trump wanted to humiliate Ramaphosa which he failed at when facts started being pointed out instead of doctored videos etc.
 
My summary of the press conference: it went about as well as Ramapoephole could have hoped. He was ambushed, but obviously anyone would have expected that. The ambush was super amateurish though - like a high school show and tell. Just 100% Malema. The Yanks probably put it together in a few hours. Embarrassing the ANC is probably second to last on their list of priorities.

But a press conference has no bearing on the cessation of aid, US flying out white refugees, sanctions, AGOA, tariffs, expulsion of diplomats, G20, etc. How those issues evolve, if at all, is what counts.
