Too much drama on a Monday, which law have they broken?
It's a bit of a mouthful.

The Prohibition of Mercenary Activities and Regulation of Certain Activities in Country of Armed Conflict Act.

Prohibition of mercenary activity
2. (1) No person may within the Republic or elsewhere—
(a) participate as a combatant for private gain in an armed conflict;
(b) directly or indirectly recruit, use, train, support or finance a combatant for
private gain in an armed conflict;

(c) directly or indirectly participate in any manner in the initiation, causing or
furthering of—
(i) an armed conflict; or
(ii) a coup d'etat, uprising or rebellion against any government; or
(d) directly or indirectly perform any act aimed at overthrowing a government or
undermining the constitutional order, sovereignty or territorial integrity of a
state.

Took them long enough to figure out a bigger number is bad. But it's going to take them longer to figure out that the lower number today has nothing to do with SA.
I am super impressed how people are so quick to point out the number has nothing to do with SA, when it's low. I am sure the right wingers would be taking all the credit if it was high.

Yes, check the edit.

Now read that tweet in the context of the act. He talks about being trained and armed, and enlisting people for a group other than the SANDF...
Don't worry, Champo will spin this to the end of days that there's nothing wrong. But just wait until AfriForum does the same...
